A Little Teapot

I'm a little teapot, short and stout
Here's my handle, here's my spout.
When the kettle's boiling, hear me shout.
Tip me up and pour me out.

History:

In the children's show, Animaniacs, Dot recites a satire of the song in which the "teapot" is actually an insane being who thinks he/she is a variety of forms of kitchen appliances. "I'm a Little Teapot" is a nursery rhyme recounting the boiling and pouring of a teapot. The narration of this rhyme is usually accompanied by physical events that involve imitating a teapot. I'm a small teapot, short and stout. Here is my handle... ...And here's a communication from my shrink ! Dot holds up a piece of paper with script on it. He says I'm getting better! Last week I thought I was a toaster oven !
