History:
Drury Lane is a lane in London. Victorian households had a lot of of their new foods delivered; muffins would be delivered door-to-door by a muffin man. The "muffins" were the produce recognized in a great deal of the English-speaking world nowadays as English muffins, not the cupcake-fashioned assortment. The Muffin Man is a customary nursery school rhyme or children's song with English origins. The Gingerbread Man in the 2001 film Shrek states he was finished by the Muffin Man, although the Muffin Man does not really materialize in the movie until its continuation, Shrek 2. The Muffin Man is also a song performed by the late performer Frank Zappa.
